Defence Minister Rustem Umerov met with his British counterpart John Healey.
According to Umerov, the ministers discussed further steps to support the Defence Forces, investments in the Ukrainian defence industry, and agreed to work out a list of priority needs to be financed by frozen Russian assets.
The UK is proactive in providing our soldiers with the necessary ammunition: artillery, mortar, air defence and anti-tank mines. This is an example for other partners, as timely deliveries allow us to destroy the enemy more effectively. By the end of the year, more AS-90 artillery systems will be delivered to the frontline. We also have good news about long-range weapons and robotic systems - the enemy will feel it on the battlefield,
— Rustem Umerov
Last month, during a meeting with journalists in Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine did not use long-range weapons in Russia because its Western partners were afraid of escalation.
