Not a single judge or prosecutor involved in illegal prosecutions during the Maydan protests has been brought to justice, according to Oleksiy Donskyy, Head of the Office of the Prosecutor General’s Department for Maydan Affairs. Speaking on the Adult View programme on LB Live, he revealed that there are no convictions against judges or prosecutors in these cases.
Donskyy noted that more than 30 individuals accused of crimes against protesters still work in the judicial and law enforcement systems. They cannot be removed from their current positions if they have changed jobs since the alleged offenses.
“There is no guilty verdict against any judge or prosecutor in the Maydan cases—only one investigator has been convicted,” Donskyy said, highlighting the systemic challenges in holding these individuals accountable despite dozens of open cases.
