The Deputy Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyy said that the ground force of the Russian group involved in hostilities against Ukraine amounts to almost 580,000 soldiers.
He said this in a commentary to journalists on the sidelines of the expert discussion ‘Genocidal practices of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: from the Holodomor to the Russian-Ukrainian war,’ Ukrinform reports.
‘About 580,000 are the ground component involved in the hostilities. This includes troops in the Kursk Region,’ he said.
He added that there are also 35,000 Russian soldiers in the temporarily occupied territory.
