Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, an investigation into the shooting of captured Ukrainian soldiers has been launched.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to intelligence, on 2 October, Russians stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city. During the attack, the occupiers captured five unarmed Ukrainian defenders.
‘They killed one of them in a forest belt, and took four of them to the road under the sights of automatic weapons, where they were also shot,’ the Prosecutor General's Office said.
Urgent investigative and search activities aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident are currently underway.
