Drone targets police facility in Chechnya, injuring four

Authorities claim that four security forces were injured.

Overnight, a drone attack struck a police barracks in Chechnya’s capital, Groznyy, injuring four security personnel and damaging the building, according to local authorities. Ukraine officially recognises the region as Russian-occupied Ichkeria.

Chechnya’s Kremlin-backed leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, claimed that the drone “detonated in the air,” with damage caused by falling debris, Reuters reports. He shared a video on Telegram showing shattered windows at the site.

The drones reportedly traveled approximately 1,000 kilometers from Ukrainian-controlled territory to Groznyy. This incident adds to the growing list of drone operations targeting Russian infrastructure.
