President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for brigades to buy drones at their own discretion.
He said this in an evening video address on 12 December.
‘The right thing to do is to send funds directly to the teams so that they can buy drones at their own discretion - exactly what they need. We are increasing the funds. The way we work with drones must also always change, because it must adapt to the evolution of the combat situation. War requires changes to save lives,’ the President said.Zelenskyy also said that changes are needed in the training of the military in training centres. ‘Also in the brigades themselves, all effective training experience needs to be scaled up and faster. A combat brigade is often the best instructor,’ the Ukrainian president said.
