On the morning of 22 February, Inspector General of the Bundeswehr Carsten Breuer arrived in Kyiv on a visit. The military officer was met by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy. This was reported on the Commander-in-Chief's Facebook page.

"A meeting was held with the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Carsten Breuer. During the meeting, I informed my German counterpart about the operational situation on the front line, measures to transition to a corps structure and expressed gratitude to the German people for their unwavering support of our fight against Russian aggression," the Chief of the Armed Forces informed.

The military discussed the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in weapons, ammunition, military and special equipment, as well as the training of Ukrainian servicemen.

The meeting also addressed the issue of maintenance and repair of German-made military equipment in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"I stressed the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and Germany," adds Syrskyy.
