In response to a question from LB.ua, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that President Trump understands Ukraine does not legally recognise the loss of its territories.
“The issue of territories will be the most difficult. This will be a challenge for all of us. We will defend Ukraine as much as possible in these matters, but it will not be easy,” the President said.
Zelenskyy noted that he had discussed the fate of war-torn territories with Trump, saying these areas would become “dead territories” where people would not return. He assured his American counterpart that when it comes to major cities, “it will be Berlin” and that this is “not an option”.
