On 12–14 December, Lviv will host the IV Culture Congress CONNECTION_BREAKUP, a large-scale event that will take place this year at the Main Post Office Building.
The organisers have released the full programme of the event, which is dedicated to what unites and divides Ukrainian society today.
The central theme of the Congress will be the experience of connections and disconnections — between people, generations, institutions, and cities — and how these processes shape our present. The focus will be on cultural institutions in conditions of instability, new models of interaction, memory, experiences of loss, the power of recovery, the role of the diaspora, and contemporary media and culture.
The Congress programme includes discussion, professional and artistic components. Participants can look forward to inspirational talks, themed moderated discussions, professional panels, and a curated tour. This year, the Lviv–Kharkiv dimension will be of particular importance as a symbol of mutual support and shared responsibility. The artistic component will be represented by the project of Kharkiv artist Kostyantyn Zorkin, In the Name of the City in Another City.
