Capable of accelerating to 350 km/h and operating effectively within a 40-kilometre radius, the Litavr anti-drone interceptor was featured in a report by the YouTube channel Army – Media of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

“But the maximum distance achieved just a couple of days ago by one of the units of the Unmanned Systems Forces was 84 kilometres from the take-off point. Despite the wind and all the related challenges, they still reached the target and carried out the mission effectively,” said Stanislav, CEO of F-DRONES, the manufacturer of the drone.

The second-generation drone has been equipped with an auxiliary system for automatic target identification and acquisition during the final stage of flight. Both versions are fitted with daytime and thermal imaging cameras, which can be switched during flight. If no target is detected, the drone automatically switches to safe mode and returns.

The explosives are located in the nose section of the drone.

The drone takes its name from the Cossack drum known as the litavra. “We thought we should pay tribute to the Cossacks,” Stanislav noted.
