Ukraine is working on developing low-cost missiles for intercepting Shahed drones, with several solutions already close to completion.

Testing of these missiles has already begun, Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Mykhaylo Fedorov said during a briefing with journalists dedicated to recent defence results.

“Our goal is to scale production dozens of times and have a sufficient stock of such missiles for the autumn-winter period. We want to scale and reduce the cost of interceptor missiles to prepare for the appearance of jet-powered Shahed drones. This will provide additional protection for critical infrastructure, alongside interceptor drones. To achieve this, we are issuing grants, scaling up production, and restarting recruitment for teams,” the minister said.
