Russian ballistic missile strike on Pryluky leaves three dead and 21 injured

A shopping centre near the impact site, a supermarket and fire engines have been damaged.

Today, 19 May, at around 10 a.m., Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on the centre of Pryluky in Chernihiv Region. As of 3 p.m., three people are known to have been killed and 21 injured, including a 14-year-old child.

The strike was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, and the regional police. The State Emergency Service later reported an increase in the number of casualties.

“One of the businesses was hit. A shopping centre near the impact site, a supermarket and firefighting vehicles have been damaged,” Chaus wrote.

At around 3 p.m., Suspilne reported that a 15-year-old boy who had been injured in the attack had died in hospital, bringing the death toll to three.

Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance. Emergency and relevant services are continuing to work at the scene of the attack.
