The General Staff confirmed strikes on a Roscosmos-affiliated facility, as well as enemy bridges and warehouses. On the night of July 1, Ukraine’s Defense Forces hit JSC “Research Institute of Physical Measurements” in Russia’s Penza Region.
Hits and smoke at the site were recorded, the General Staff reported. The research institute is a leading enemy enterprise in the fields of space, aviation, and military instrumentation.
“It is part of the Russian Space Systems holding (which, in turn, is a component of the state corporation Roscosmos). It manufactures, among other things, sensors for cruise and ballistic missiles (Iskander, Kalibr, Kh-101), components for aircraft onboard systems (Su-34, Su-35, Tu-95MS), and equipment for military space (reconnaissance satellites),” the General Staff said.
The extent of the damage is being assessed.
The Defense Forces also struck a road bridge over the Malyi Kalchyk River near Hranitne in Donetsk Region, a railway bridge over the Tepla River near Nyzhnoteplyi in Luhansk Region, and a logistics crossing near Novocheretuvate in Donetsk Region. The enemy uses these facilities to move personnel, weapons, ammunition, and materiel.
They also attacked an enemy fuel and lubricants depot in Melitopol and three enemy logistics supply warehouses near Krupky in Russia’s Kursk Region, Rivnopillya in Donetsk Region, and Novoyehorivka in Kharkiv Region.
“In addition, five enemy UAV control points were hit near Hrozove and Zaliznychne in Zaporizhzhuya Region, and Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, and Pokrovsk in Donetsk Region,” the General Staff added.
