Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out a series of strikes on Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea on 12 August. In particular, a control tower at the Saky military airfield was struck near Novofedorivka.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
In addition, Ukrainian forces struck a relay station near Chornomorske that was used to control Geran and Gerbera attack drones.
The General Staff said the strikes would weaken Russia’s ability to support the operation of the military airfield and control attack UAVs.
“Operations against key enemy targets continue,” the Ukrainian military added.
- On 12 August, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck four Russian warships in the port of Novorossiysk: the Kalibr missile carriers Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen, the Buyan-M-class small missile ship and the Vasily Bykov patrol ship.
- SBU operatives also struck a Russian 30N6E radar, part of the S-300 surface-to-air missile system, a mobile firing group at the second pier of Novorossiysk port, the tunnel entrance at the Hrushova oil depot of the Sheskharis terminal, and infrastructure at berths No. 3, 6 and 7.
