On 23 August, the leaders of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway arrived in Kyiv. This was reported by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. Senior representatives of other countries also arrived.
One of the first to announce his arrival was the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda. Over the next two days, he will take part in celebrations of Ukraine’s Flag Day and Independence Day.
In a post on X about his arrival, the Lithuanian president said he would meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Together with the leaders of the Nordic and Baltic countries, they will discuss the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
“We stand together with Ukraine today — on the days of its national holidays — and always,” he commented.

On 23–24 August, Ukraine marks its national holidays. Traditionally, senior guests from friendly countries come to the capital on these days. These visits continue despite the full-scale war and regular Russian air attacks on the capital and other cities.
A meeting of the Coalition of the Willing is scheduled to take place in Kyiv on 24 August.
