General Staff confirms missile strikes on main and reserve command posts near Donetsk

Strikes on other Russian targets have also been confirmed. 

Yesterday, 26 August, and overnight into today, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of important Russian facilities. In particular, in the Donetsk area, air-launched missiles hit the main and reserve command posts of the Russian forces.

Also, in the Chonhar area of Kherson Region, other means were used to strike a Russian repair-and-recovery unit and a UAV control point in Olenivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea.

In addition, areas where occupying troops were concentrated were hit near Novopetrivka in Zaporizhzhya Region and in Voskhod (temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea).

The extent of the damage inflicted and the Russia’s losses are being clarified.

Based on an analysis of additional data, it was established that on 25 August, as a result of a strike on the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, damage was confirmed to the ELOU AT process unit, the gas fractionation unit, and a section of pipeline.

Work against key Russian facilities continues.
