A Russian attack on Ukraine overnight on 13 September made it harder for the team of Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border.
He reported this on the social network X.
According to Tsahkna, after visiting Ukraine his team was heading to Poland, but the aftermath of the Russian attack caused difficulties at the border crossing.
“Even when we leave Ukraine, the consequences of Russian aggression remain tangible,” the Estonian minister noted.
He stressed that Russia’s war affects not only Ukrainians’ everyday lives, but also movement and logistics at the border with EU countries.
- Margus Tsahkna was in Kyiv as part of a visit by representatives of the Nordic and Baltic countries in the NB8 format.
