The Serhii Prytula Foundation has delivered 135 loitering drones to the Defence Forces, including 77 RAM-2X drones and 38 RAM-3X UAVs, as well as 20 Ukrainian-made DeepStrike systems. The organisation said this in a press release.

The foundation noted that the drones were purchased as part of the “Jaws” fundraising campaign. Defence Forces units are already using the drones received to strike Russian equipment and weapons. In particular, the Joint Forces Command’s Targeting and Reconnaissance Directorate unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a Russian “Nebo-SVU” radar, estimated to be worth $100 million.

The Special Operations Forces’ “Balista” unit destroyed a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system and a launcher from an S-300 surface-to-air missile system over two days, while the 429th “ACHILLES” Brigade together with the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade hit a “Nebo-M” radar near the Millerovo airfield in Russia’s Rostov region.

The foundation said the goal of the “Jaws” campaign is to raise UAH 1.3 billion for reconnaissance and strike capabilities for Ukraine’s Defence Forces. More than 80% of the planned amount has now been raised.

RAM-2X and RAM-3X are Ukrainian loitering munitions with an X-shaped wing, designed to strike important military targets at operational and tactical depth. RAM-2X, in particular, can be used against high-value targets at ranges of up to 180 km and can operate in tandem with the SHARK-M reconnaissance UAV, which provides reconnaissance and target designation.

RAM-3X is a new strike drone made by Ukrspecsystems. Lb.ua sent the company a request asking it to provide more details about the drone. However, RAM-3X was shown in a video published by the Serhii Prytula Foundation. The post said these drones are “heavier, more powerful, even more devastating” than their predecessors.

Last week, the Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems presented the RAM-2X strike UAV with an X-shaped wing at the MSPO defence exhibition in Poland in September this year. The company says the drone was developed to strike high-value targets. Its stated endurance is more than two hours. The drone carries a warhead with an explosively formed penetrator weighing 2.7 or 3.5 kg.

According to the manufacturer, RAM-2X works with various communications systems: multiple radio bands or Starlink. It is also stated that the drone can use different models of AI assistants.

According to Ukrspecsystems, RAM-family munitions have hit more than 450 targets in total. At the same time, for a long period the manufacturer was unable to publicly confirm its connection to RAM due to security restrictions, although footage of their use regularly appeared online.
