The Ministry of Defence is implementing a preferential financial leasing programme for enterprises in the defence-industrial complex. The first 26 contracts have already been signed, totalling UAH 91.2 million.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defence press service.
It is noted that this instrument is intended to help arms manufacturers quickly upgrade their material and technical base without an excessive financial burden.
Under the programme, enterprises can obtain equipment and machinery, technological equipment, automation systems, transport and other assets needed for production through financial leasing.
The maximum amount of financing under a single contract is UAH 500 million, and the maximum term is five years.
State support reduces an enterprise’s actual costs of paying the lessor’s fee to up to 5% per annum, with the difference compensated by the state. The contract may also provide for a deferral of lease payments for a period of up to 12 months.
The programme is available to enterprises that, on the date the contract is signed, have the status of critically important in the defence-industrial complex.
- The state support mechanism for financial leasing for defence-industrial complex enterprises was introduced in December 2025 by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. The programme, developed by the Ministry of Defence, was introduced as a supplement to preferential lending to give manufacturers the opportunity to acquire equipment, transport and other fixed assets on preferential financial terms.
