Fuel supplies from abroad are continuing as planned. Russian strikes on the area bordering Poland have not affected import volumes. Ukrnafta CEO Bohdan Kukura said this in an interview with LB.ua.
“At present, we see no obstacles to fuel imports. Supplies of the volumes needed for our network are continuing,” he said.
The Ukrnafta CEO added that the company is also involved in developing special safety protocols with the government for the operation of petrol stations. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers has promised to introduce a warning system to alert petrol station employees to air-raid threats.
“We welcome decisions aimed at improving the safety of staff and customers at petrol stations,” Kukura said.
The company has already changed its petrol station operating procedures. In particular, petrol stations now completely suspend operations whenever there is any level of threat. Ukrnafta is asking drivers to respond promptly to instructions from petrol station staff and leave the premises immediately.
“To reduce the likelihood of queues forming, our staff are working to serve customers as quickly as possible. We ask customers not to linger after refuelling or making purchases and not to leave their vehicles in petrol station car parks,” the Ukrnafta CEO added.
