A multifunctional fixed-wing unmanned aircraft, the KARA, developed by the Ukrainian company UkrSkyTechnology, has been presented on the state marketplace Brave1 Market. This was reported by Defender Media.
The manufacturer says the KARA can deliver and drop payloads, provide signal relay, deliver FPV drones behind enemy lines, or be used to carry out strike operations.
The UAV is available in three configuration options:
- An empty airframe without equipment, which the customer can adapt independently for a specific task;
- Plug-N-Play with some basic equipment and electronics partially installed;
- Ready-To-Fly, fully prepared for launch and mission execution.
According to UkrSkyTechnology, the UAV’s tactical radius is 70 km and its endurance is up to 2.5 hours. The stated operating flight altitude is 200 metres, while the aircraft is capable of climbing to an altitude of up to 3 km. The UAV’s cruising speed is 90 km/h and its maximum speed is 120 km/h, the manufacturer notes.
Depending on the configuration, the KARA can be fitted with an electric motor or an internal combustion engine. The payload is mounted beneath the centre section of the wing, with one module provided on each side of the fuselage, left and right. Each is designed to carry a 3 kg load.
The KARA is launched using a catapult and lands in conventional aircraft fashion. Preparing and deploying the aircraft before flight takes about 10 minutes.
On Brave1 Market, the UAV is priced at 440,000 hryvnias. It is currently being prepared for codification.
