Over the first 21 days of September, Ukraine exported 1.6 million tonnes of agricultural produce.
This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, farmers shipped 960,000 tonnes of cereals, 275,000 tonnes of oilseeds, 190,000 tonnes of vegetable oil and 173,000 tonnes of oilseed meal.
Deputy Minister Taras Vysotskyi noted that the share of raw cereals remains the lowest, while exports of higher value-added goods are increasing. At the same time, the domestic market is fully supplied with staple food products, and the State Statistics Service is not recording any abnormal rise in prices.
According to the ministry, in the draft 2027 state budget the government has earmarked UAH 7.4bn to support the agricultural sector. This amount consists of general fund resources, special assistance from the EU, proceeds from leasing state-owned land and export duties on soya and rapeseed. As a result, state support for the sector will increase by around UAH 300m compared with this year’s actual figures.
- In August, the Ministry for Restoration reported that thanks to Danube ports, rail and road logistics, Ukraine is able to export about 4.5 million tonnes of cargo per month out of the 6 million tonnes that were provided by the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
