The DOT Defence Procurement Agency has presented “Independence Cards” — a playing deck featuring 54 Ukrainian-made items that service personnel select and order via DOT-Chain Defence, an online marketplace for weapons and military equipment. The DPA told LB.ua.
The cards depict some of the most popular products currently used on the battlefield — strike and FPV drones, interceptors, reconnaissance systems, ground robotic systems, and electronic warfare equipment.
“Independence Cards” can be purchased in exchange for a donation at the “Iron Shop”. Funds raised through UNITED24 are directed towards purchasing drones for the Defence Forces.
DOT-Chain Defence is a digital weapons marketplace where service personnel can choose the item, model and manufacturer they need for a specific combat mission and order it in just a few clicks using state funds.
In its first year, more than 1.2 million items were delivered to service personnel via DOT-Chain Defence. Since launch, the system has scaled from 12 combat units to 500 units. More than 1,200 items from 300 manufacturers are currently available in the online shop. The average delivery time for in-stock items is nine days.
In early September, an interactive installation marking the marketplace’s first anniversary was set up in Kyiv.
“Now this experience can be tried not only by service personnel. At the interactive installation, visitors can choose an item themselves, ‘place’ an order for it, watch a video of it in action and see some of the drones that service personnel order via DOT-Chain Defence,” the online marketplace team said.
