As a result of a Russian attack on Kyiv, the Intercession Church was damaged — a church dating from 1906 that is described as the oldest in the Mostytskyy estate and Vynohradar.
This was reported by Volodymyr Nakonechnyy, head of the Podil District State Administration.
The church has damaged windows, domes and an old façade made of yellow Kyiv brick.
"The enemy is not only going after people and their homes. It is trying to destroy our historical and spiritual heritage," the head of the Podil District State Administration said.

Over the course of the day, Kyiv came under Russian missile and drone strikes. The consequences of the occupiers’ attack were recorded in the Dniprovskyy, Darnytskyy, Podilskyy and Solomyanskyy districts of the capital.
As of the morning, eight people were known to have been injured. Two people were killed. Police said the dead were a 57-year-old woman in the Podilskyy district and a 65-year-old man in Solomyanskyy. Those injured included a police officer.
