In Kharkiv region, Russian troops are trying every day to expand the area under their control. The situation remains most difficult in the Vovchansk community, where the enemy constantly operates in infantry groups after heavy shelling.
Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this during a television broadcast, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, the situation is currently most difficult on the Vovchansk axis. There, the enemy’s daily attempts to expand the area under its control have not stopped. Numerous shelling attacks precede attempts by Russian infantry groups to advance.
After that, the enemy tries to operate directly on the ground and expand the territory under its control.
In Sumy region, Russian forces also regularly try to expand their control zone. In particular, such attempts are recorded in Shostka and Konotop districts, as well as in the Yunakivka community.
In Chernihiv region, the situation is currently somewhat different: along the section of the border with Russia, there have been no recorded attempts by the enemy to deploy infantry groups specifically. Chernihiv region also accounts for the fewest shelling attacks on the border area.
- Over the past day on the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi axis, Ukrainian units repelled nine enemy attacks. The invaders tried to advance in the areas of Izbytske, Rybalchyne, Lyman, Mala Vovcha and Ternova.
