Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff. Key issues included the results of interceptor tests against Russia’s “Shaheds” and the production of jet engines for UAVs.
He reported this on his social media.
“There were reports on the interception rate and the experience of the teams working on interceptions. The main tools that can strengthen our defence have been identified. We are accelerating production,” Zelenskyy said.
The meeting also approved new decisions on developing Ukrainian manufacturing.
“There are also new decisions on rolling out production in Ukraine of jet engines of various types,” the President noted.
Separately, the meeting heard a detailed briefing from the Defence Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate on Russia’s technological plans for 2027.
“Specifically, on the means the enemy is counting on, its production capabilities, and the use of schemes for supplying components to Russia,” Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that Ukraine is adjusting its countermeasures in line with the threats identified.
According to Zelenskyy, one of the priority tasks for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all Ukrainian diplomacy is preparing new sanctions packages by partners.
“In particular in the area of the shadow schemes the Russians use to sustain the production of drones and missiles, especially ballistic ones,” the President уточнив.
The meeting also approved additional decisions to protect and ensure the uninterrupted operation of data centres and other facilities that are critical to the communications sector.
“These decisions must be fully implemented at all levels, and this is the personal responsibility of government officials and the heads of the special services,” Zelenskyy stressed.
