The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Yurii Koniushenko as First Deputy Head of the State Tax Service and has temporarily assigned him the duties of Head of the State Tax Service.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.
The government has set a number of tasks for the new acting head of the tax service.
“The new acting head has specific tasks: ensuring the smooth, uninterrupted operation of the State Tax Service, meeting revenue targets for the state budget, improving and simplifying tax administration, enhancing engagement with business, and maintaining an open dialogue with taxpayers,” the head of government noted.
Yurii Koniushenko worked in the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 2017 to 2020, where he dealt with budget and tax as well as customs policy issues. He later moved to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, where he served as a department director.
