Over the course of a week, Ukraine struck six strategic Russian oil refineries located between 200 and 1,600 km from the front line. A facility producing electronic components for Russian weaponry was also hit.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.
The main targets included the Moscow Refinery, with a capacity of about 12 million tonnes of oil processing per year; the Perm Refinery — about 13 million tonnes; the Novoshakhtinsk Refinery — 7.5 million tonnes; and Bashneft-UNPZ, with a capacity of about 7.5 million tonnes.
Also hit were Rosneft’s Kuibyshev Refinery, which can process about 7 million tonnes of oil per year, and the Ilsky Refinery in Krasnodar Krai, with a capacity of about 6.6 million tonnes per year.
Separately, the Ministry of Defence reported a strike on the Iskra plant. The facility manufactures electronic components for Russian weaponry, including for guided air-launched missiles and Pantsir surface-to-air missile and gun systems.
The Ministry of Defence said the strikes on Russian facilities are aimed at depriving the Russian Federation of the logistical and material resources needed to wage war against Ukraine.
“Our deep and middle strikes are a natural and fair response to Russian terror, the daily shelling of Ukrainian cities, civilian infrastructure and our energy sector,” the ministry said.

The Ministry of Defence stressed that Ukraine continues to carry out systematic strikes on sites that are significant to Russia’s fuel and energy sector and defence industry.
