On the night of 28 September, the Russian army struck the Kyivskyy and Saltivskyy districts of Kharkiv. At dawn, a drone attacked the Shevchenkivskyy district. In Saltivskyy, the Russian forces hit a high-rise building. As of the morning, 24 people are known to have been injured there, including children. Two children are in hospital.
This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Synyehubov, and the State Emergency Service.
Two boys aged 12 and 8 have been hospitalised.
A 3-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy received medical assistance at the scene.
The enemy strike hit the second floor of an apartment block. Damage to the second and third floors has been recorded. Emergency responders rescued 32 people from the building.
State Emergency Service units, paramedic teams and police are working at the scene.
A hostile UAV strike was recorded hitting the ground in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
