On the night of 28 September, starting from 18:00 the previous day, the Russian army launched 165 drones at Ukraine. Air defences neutralised 112 of them. There were strikes and falling debris.
This was reported by the Air Force.
They said the enemy attacked with 165 Shahed-type strike UAVs (79 of them jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo in Russia, the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region and the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea — Hvardiyske.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 07:00, air defences shot down and suppressed 112 Russian Shahed-type UAVs, Gerbera drones and drones of other types.
Strikes by the Russian air attack assets were recorded at 14 locations, as well as falling debris in seven places.
As of the morning, the attack is ongoing, with several Russian UAVs in the airspace.
