General Staff Confirms Destruction of Drone Depots Belonging to Russia’s Rubikon Unit

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of drone storage depots belonging to Russia’s specialised Rubikon unit and reported a strike on a missile and artillery weapons depot.

In addition, the Defence Forces struck a number of important military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers on 30 September and during the night of 1 October 2026.

In the area of the city of Donetsk, a storage, preparation and launch site for attack drones was hit.

“Striking such facilities is one of the priority tasks of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, aimed at reducing the Russian occupiers’ ability to use attack drones against civilian infrastructure on the territory of Ukraine,” the press release said.

In the Pokrovsk area of Donetsk Region, a Russian UAV command post was hit.

Also, in the area of Verkhniokamianka in Luhansk region, a missile and artillery weapons depot was hit.

In addition, in the area of Tymoshivka in Zaporizhzhya Region, an area where weapons and military equipment of Russian units were concentrated was hit.

It was also confirmed that on 23 September, UAV storage depots of the Rubikon unit were destroyed in the area of Volnovakha in Donetsk Region.

  • Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported a target being hit in the Black Sea, as well as attack drone launch and storage sites in the Oryol region. There were also strikes on an oil facility in the Samara region and on an occupiers’ supply depot in the Bryansk Region.
  • According to Krym Realii, on the night of 1 October, Crimea was attacked by Ukrainian drones. Energy facilities were targeted, leaving some settlements without power. Among the sites hit was a large electrical substation in the settlement of Nyzhnohirskyy.
