North Korea has said it tested a strategic medium-range missile with the involvement of artificial intelligence.
Hours before the statement, South Korea reported that Pyongyang had launched a ballistic missile that flew more than 700 kilometres, according to Delfi.
North Korea claims it was the launch of a strategic medium-range missile and that the weapon can alter its flight path at low altitude, and that thanks to artificial intelligence it is “impossible to evade” its strike.
The test took place a few days after the South Korean military demanded that Pyongyang apologise for an explosion in the demilitarised zone in which three South Korean service members were injured. Seoul blamed North Korea for the incident. However, Pyongyang denied any involvement in the explosion.
