Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories on 5 October and during the night of 6 October.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

In the Donetsk area, Ukrainian forces hit a telecommunications hub operated by Russian troops. Near Shchaslyvtseve in Kherson Region, a command post of a Russian army unit was struck.

The Defence Forces also targeted concentrations of Russian troops near Sokoloherivsk in Luhansk Region and Burlatske in Donetsk Region.

In addition, a drone storage facility was hit near Sievierodonetsk in Luhansk Region, while an ammunition depot belonging to the Russian occupiers was struck near Khrustalnyi.

The General Staff said the Defence Forces continue to strike enemy military targets.

  • According to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost around 1,544,260 military personnel. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces killed another 1,540 Russian troops, as well as destroying three tanks, seven armoured combat vehicles, 52 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launchers and 566 vehicles and fuel tankers.
