"It was not just an educational institution that came under attack. It is a school that for generations has taught children, shaped the future and sent members of our community into adult life. A place tied to the childhoods, memories and stories of many families in the community," the Kushuhum community’s post says.
- On 5 October, the Russians carried out their first air strike on the "Intellect" Gymnasium in Kushuhum, Zaporizhzhia Region. As a result of a guided aerial bomb hit, the roof and the canteen and boiler-room premises were damaged.
This strike once again demonstrates how ruthlessly Russian aggression is destroying civilian infrastructure and places of particular importance to the community.
They can destroy walls, but they cannot destroy our memory, our resilience and our strength.
