Ukraine’s Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi discussed with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada and representatives of parliamentary factions, groups and committees the bills whose adoption is necessary to ensure the timely receipt of international financial assistance.
The head of government reported this on Telegram.
According to Koretskyi, these bills are a priority for the upcoming plenary week. The Prime Minister thanked MPs for adding them to the agenda and urged them to support the documents during the vote.
“Their adoption will determine whether international financial assistance is received on time,” the head of government stressed.
He also said that the Cabinet of Ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting to adopt the necessary decisions and complete the government’s part of the work by 15 October.
- Earlier, Koretskyi said that the Ukrainian government had switched to a maximum savings mode and postponed all non-essential spending. According to him, receiving international funding depends on Ukraine fulfilling agreed commitments that предусматривают government and legislative changes. At a Cabinet meeting, four more decisions were adopted as part of these commitments. Overall, 17 of the 42 planned government decisions have already been implemented.
