Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. A hit was recorded on a five-storey residential building. There are reports of fatalities, and people may be trapped under the rubble.

This was reported by acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Mykhailo Semikin.

According to updated information from Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the region’s Defence Council, the number of people injured in Russia’s attack on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 10, including a 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.

The death toll has risen to five, including – two children.

"Overall, two of the injured are in a critical condition, two have minor injuries, and another seven are in a moderate condition. Four people have been hospitalised, five are receiving outpatient care, and two more are undergoing examinations," he said.

As a result of the attack, at least 26 residential buildings have been damaged — 23 apartment blocks and three private houses in the Shevchenkivskyi and Voznesenivskyi districts. Three buildings sustained significant damage. Non-residential buildings and premises were also damaged.

A search-and-rescue operation is ongoing at the strike sites.

As a result of the attack, one of the building’s entrances has been partially destroyed, with structural elements collapsing at the level of the second floor. According to preliminary information, one more person may still be trapped under the rubble.

Emergency services are working at the scene, and rescuers are continuing search operations.
