On the morning of 10 October, a Russian drone attempted to attack Lviv. Air defences were engaged, the Regional Military Administration reported.
At 7:20, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said a drone was heading towards the regional centre. At 7:23, he reported that it had entered the city.
According to the Air Force, the drone was jet-powered.
“A jet-powered UAV on a course towards Vynnyky/Lviv,” the military warned on Telegram.
There is currently no information on the consequences.
- Russia is not attacking Lviv with strike drones for the first time: the enemy carried out such attacks in previous years as well, using earlier “generations” of non-jet Shaheds.
- In September, Russians struck Lviv Region with drones, including Stryi.
- On 8 October, a Russian drone killed a person in Ivano-Frankivsk.
