Over the past day, from the morning of 9 October to the morning of 10 October, Russian forces carried out nearly 30 attacks on 19 settlements across 12 communities in Sumy region.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 54-year-old man was injured as a result of a mortar attack. A 52-year-old man and women aged 49 and 55 also sought medical help after being injured during Russian shelling on 8 October.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts. Russian forces used artillery, mortars, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles and guided aerial bombs.
The shelling damaged civilian infrastructure. In particular, in the Velyka Pysarivka community, a multi-storey residential building was damaged; in the Seredyna-Buda community, a private house and a non-residential premises previously damaged in earlier attacks were hit. In the Berezivka community, an administrative building was damaged.
Overall, the settlements of the Stepanivka, Mykolaivka rural, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Berezivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, Svesa, Novoslobidske and Velyka Pysarivka communities came under attack.
Air-raid alerts in the region lasted 14 hours and 22 minutes over the past day.
