One Killed in Russian Attack in Sumy Region

In the Krasnopillia community of Sumy region, the driver of a civilian car was killed as a result of a Russian attack. A man who stepped on a mine was also injured.

This was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

A Russian drone struck the car, and it caught fire after the hit. The driver was killed. Preliminary reports suggest he was a local resident. The man’s body was evacuated, and his identity is currently being established.

Also today in the Krasnopillia community, a local resident sustained severe injuries after an explosive device detonated. He was given first aid, and evacuation to hospital is under way.

Oleh Hryhorov stressed that the border area remains extremely dangerous. Even travelling between the community’s settlements is under threat.

The head of the Regional Military Administration urged residents not to put themselves at risk, especially in border settlements where an evacuation has been announced.
