On the night of 11 October, drones attacked two bridges in Rostov-on-Don, including a railway swing bridge. After the strike, the Russians temporarily halted train traffic on both tracks.
This was reported by Petro Andryushchenko, head of the Centre for the Study of Occupation.
According to him, strike drones hit the mechanism that enables the operation of the railway swing bridge. At the same time, no critical damage to the structure was recorded.
The North Caucasus Railway confirmed that the swing bridge on the Rostov–Bataisk section was hit.
Andryushchenko also reported an attack on the Western Bridge, which is used for both road and rail connections.
According to the head of the Centre for the Study of Occupation, both crossings are important for Rostov-on-Don’s rail logistics and for the Russian grouping of troops in the city and in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Region. The Russians use these routes to transport military equipment and personnel.
