Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Berlin with his team. The visit includes talks with Germany’s Chancellor and President, as well as the President of the Bundestag. In addition, the head of state will take part in this year’s Berlin Security Conference.
Zelensky reported this in his post.
According to the President, the key topics of the talks will be diplomatic coordination, strengthening Ukraine’s air defence, and support for the energy sector.
Zelensky stressed the importance of joint action to ensure security, stability, and the protection of the rules-based international order.
“We are all interested in security, stability, and protecting the rules-based international order. And we must work together so that these principles are translated into concrete decisions and actions,” the head of state said.
He also thanked Germany for its willingness to support Ukraine and for the joint work to protect lives.
Around midday, the head of state met with Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
