Ukrainian company Vyriy Industries has ended its strategic partnership with the Blyskavka project after establishing serial production of the Blyskavka strike drone. This is reported by Militarnyi, citing Vyriy Industries.

During the partnership, Vyriy Industries helped the Blyskavka team set up serial production of the drone, establish manufacturing and operational processes, and lay the groundwork for further scaling. Since the beginning of 2026, the project has been developing without Vyriy Industries’ operational involvement.

“We joined Blyskavka to help scale the product for the needs of the armed forces. We supported the project financially, helped set up serial production and shared our expertise. Blyskavka remains needed at the front, and now a partner has been found who can only increase financial support. We are directing our resources to other needs of the armed forces. At the same time, we maintain good relations with the project team, which can always count on our support,” said the company’s CEO, Oleksii Babenko.

After the partnership ends, the Blyskavka team will take over all areas of work on the drone, including development, production, sales, deployment and support. Accordingly, Blyskavka will no longer be part of Vyriy Industries’ product portfolio. The company said it will focus its engineering and manufacturing resources on developing and scaling its own product lines, as well as on new research and development (R&D).

Blyskavka is a fixed-wing strike drone capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 9 kg. It was created by a team of engineers, veterans and serving personnel of the 8th Separate Special Operations Regiment, based on a heavily reworked captured Russian Molniya UAV.

According to the developers, in its basic version Blyskavka has a maximum flight altitude of 2,000 metres and can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h. Its range with a relay reaches 80 km, and its endurance, depending on the warhead weight, is up to 60 minutes. According to the Blyskavka team, the drone is used by more than 150 units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
