On 2 November, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces neutralised another heavy flamethrower system belonging to the Russian occupiers, bringing the total number of such systems lost by the enemy since the start of the full-scale invasion to 138.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
“This refers to the TOS-1 ‘Buratino’, TOS-1A ‘Solntsepyok’, TOS-2 ‘Tosochka’ and TOS-3 ‘Drakon’, which fire thermobaric or incendiary munitions that create a blast wave and high temperatures over a large area. These systems are designed to strike personnel, shelters, fortifications and lightly armoured vehicles,” the command explained.
The General Staff noted that each such loss “reduces the enemy’s firepower during assaults on our positions”.
