US First Lady Melania Trump is planning to personally bring together representatives of Russia and Ukraine at the White House.
According to a White House press release, “this event will be an unprecedented moment in US history”.
It is noted that she independently initiated contacts between the two countries and secured a ceasefire in Oleshky and the surrounding area of Kherson Region.
“This achievement is an unprecedented diplomatic initiative by the US First Lady,” the White House said.
The press release states that on Thursday, 5 November at 11:00 a.m. US Eastern Time, Melania Trump will speak at the White House with a statement on the ceasefire in Oleshky.
