On Wednesday, the European Commission will hold talks involving representatives of the United States, Ukraine and key European allies on Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and its economic future.

As Politico reports, this was announced on Tuesday by European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho.

Officials from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, NATO and the World Bank will take part in the meeting, along with representatives from Washington, Kyiv and the EU.

An EU official, who agreed to speak to the outlet on condition of anonymity, said the talks would cover security guarantees for Ukraine, economic support for reconstruction and other issues linked to the country’s future.

The meeting will take place after talks held last month in Miami and Oslo, involving largely the same group of participants. Pinho noted that Wednesday’s meeting would follow on from the Miami talks, which aimed to achieve a lasting and sustainable peace in Ukraine.

She said the EU would be represented by national security advisers and other senior officials, though she did not name specific participants. At previous meetings, the EU was represented by the head of cabinet to Ursula von der Leyen, Björn Seibert.

Pinho also declined to confirm who would represent the US side, after questions about the possible participation of US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
