On the evening of 4 November, Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian drone which, along with a warhead, was carrying propaganda leaflets.

According to the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, the materials were intended for distribution in Kyiv.

The drone was downed near the combat positions of the “Birds” of the 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Rarog”. On board, in addition to the warhead, a bundle of leaflets containing Russian propaganda was found.

The commander noted that the enemy is trying to use information and psychological operations to influence Ukrainians’ mood and destabilise the situation inside the country.

Separately, Brovdi warned about the danger posed by the QR code printed on the leaflets. He said it may lead to a phishing site designed to steal personal data or infect a smartphone with malicious software.

“In the photos, the QR code has been deliberately blurred for security reasons. If you find such a leaflet, – do not scan it. It is highly likely to be an enemy trap to steal your data or infect your smartphone with a virus,” Brovdi stressed.

The commander also reported that from 1 to 4 November, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces eliminated 2,630 Russian servicemen.
