In Ternopil, law enforcement officers carried out a special operation to detain a man who had barricaded himself inside a retail premises.
This was reported by the Ternopil Region Police.
According to officers, the report of the incident came in at around 11:00 on 5 November. An unknown man locked the shop manager in a staff office. After that, two shots were heard from inside the room.
By around 12:00, it became known that KORD special forces had detained the man who fired the shots. No one was injured in the incident.
The detainee is a local resident born in 1973. Investigators are currently carrying out initial investigative actions with him. Law enforcement officers say they will provide further details later.
