Ukraine has brought back 2,790 children out of more than 20,000 abducted by Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this following talks with Andorran Prime Minister Xavier Espot Zamora.
At the meeting, the leaders discussed involving Andorra in the process of returning Ukrainian children.
“We are working extensively with the Vatican, countries in the Middle East, and our other partners. We have already managed to bring back 2,790 children out of more than 20,000 abducted. But each time it is a challenge: to find them, verify, prove and bring them home. And each time Russia resists. With the Prime Minister, we discussed what specific steps Andorra could take to help. We agreed that our teams will get in touch and work together,” the head of state said.
They also discussed ways Andorra could support Ukraine’s energy sector.
