Ukrainian drone manufacturer Vluchnyk showcased a new interceptor drone, the “Palka”, at the IRON HALLOWEEN PARTY 2026 exhibition. It will be launched by hand using a special launcher gun. This is reported by Defender media.

According to the developers, the “Palka” is expected to reach speeds of 280 to 320 km/h and pursue targets at distances of up to 5 km. The drone will be fitted with a 400 g warhead.

To launch the UAV, Vluchnyk is also independently developing a special launcher gun. The operating process involves several stages: using the gun’s monitor, the operator detects a target, after which the system locks on to it and tracks it. The operator then confirms the launch, and the interceptor autonomously strikes the target.

The estimated cost of one interceptor will be 30,000–40,000 UAH, while the price of the launcher gun will be 5,000–10,000 UAH.

The first versions of the “Palka” will be single-use. At the same time, the manufacturer plans to develop reusable variants in the future.

By way of reminder, in September Vluchnyk presented the “Zorelit v5” interceptor drone, developed to intercept aerial targets directly along their flight path. According to the manufacturer, the drone is intended to counter reconnaissance UAVs, Russian “Gerbera” and “Geran-2” UAVs, as well as high-speed jet-powered “Geran-3” and “Geran-4” drones
