The United States has announced a reward of up to $20 million for information on Iran’s nuclear programme, its assets and individuals associated with it.
This was reported by the US State Department.
As part of the Rewards for Justice programme, the department is urging people to submit information via Signal or a dedicated Tor-based line. Those providing valuable information may be eligible for a cash reward and relocation.
The US is seeking information on Iranian nuclear scientists and personnel, the country’s technologies and capabilities in this field, relevant organisations and their employees. In particular, it is looking for details on nuclear facilities, equipment and its movement.
The State Department recalled that in 2025 the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that Iran had enriched uranium to 60%. This far exceeds the level required for civilian nuclear power and approaches 90% – the level typically used to produce nuclear weapons.
According to experts, Iran’s existing uranium stockpiles, if further enriched, could be sufficient to produce several nuclear warheads.
The State Department also noted that, due to Iran’s failure to meet its IAEA safeguards obligations, the agency has lost access to information on the production and stockpiles of key components of Iran’s nuclear programme, including centrifuges.
- Trump said that US forces carried out new strikes on Iran’s air defence system on Friday.
